Refund and Cancellation Policy

Assessment work often involves setup, file review, AI processing, and lecturer support. This policy is designed to be clear about when a paid package can be refunded or credited.

Refunds are easiest before setup or processing begins.

Credits may be offered for unused institution packages.

Custom contracts may have custom refund terms.

Before work begins

If you paid for a course, exam, or script package and setup has not started, you may request cancellation and refund review.

After setup or processing begins

Once GradeOptimus has started configuring the assessment, processing uploaded scripts, generating AI output, or providing support, refunds may be limited because service work has already been performed.

Where appropriate, we may offer a partial refund, service credit, or package transfer to another exam.

Service failure

If GradeOptimus cannot provide the paid service because of a platform issue within our control, we will work to correct the issue, rerun processing, provide credit, or review a refund request.

Institution and bulk plans

School, department, or bulk agreements may include custom cancellation, rollover, service credit, or refund terms. Those written terms control where they differ from this page.

How to request

Send refund and cancellation requests to support@gradeoptimus.com with your account email, institution, invoice or receipt, affected course or exam, and the reason for the request.
